Vierkant gebonden prentenboek met een origineel verhaal over de onvolprezen, dwangmatige, unieke Julia en haar relaxte hondje Top, haar beste vriend. Julia maakt graag dingen en zij wil dat die er perfect uitzien. Op een dag besluit ze het allermooiste ding te maken. Vol humor zien we haar schaven en schroeven, sleutelen en morrelen. Maar haar kritiek op haar eigen werkstuk is genadeloos: het is helemaal NIETS! Julia gaat verbeten door met nieuwe ontwerpen, terwijl hondje Top ligt, luiert en na een explosie van boosheid van zijn vriendin Julia (die alle nieuwe werkstukken telkens ook weer afkeurt) voorstelt om een eindje te wandelen… De assistent begrijpt dat Julia afkoeling en bezinning nodig heeft. Het voor kinderen herkenbare verhaal loopt vrolijk af. Het lukt Julia om – hoewel niet helemaal perfect – toch een prachtige zijspanstep te maken: nu kan ze rondtoeren met Top in de zijspan. Geanimeerde illustraties met veel wit en niet ingevulde delen, terwijl Julia en andere figuren geheel in kleur zijn weergegeven; hierdoor ligt de nadruk op de emoties van Julia, en ook die van Top. Aantrekkelijk prentenboek, vanuit het Engels vertaald in vlot Nederlands.
